Who doesn’t love a good toastie? This Truffle Cheese Toastie takes it up a notch with creamy, melty cheese and a touch of truffle oil. Quick, easy, and oh-so-delicious!

Ingredients:

2 slices of thick, white or sourdough bread
2 tablespoons of truffle oil (or more, to taste)
1-2 cloves garlic (optional)
2 slices of your favourite melty cheese (Gruyère, Comté, or aged cheddar work great)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
A pinch of salt
Fresh herbs (optional: parsley or thyme for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
2. Drizzle truffle oil on the non-buttered side of one slice.
3. Add cheese, then drizzle a bit more truffle oil on top.
4. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the sandwich, buttered side down, for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
5. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
